Fungi Form

This piece acts majorly as a glaze experiment. After creating the 100lb piece out of clay, I mixed my own glazes to apply to the surface. I was particularly interested in creating runny glazes that would mesh together in a painterly way. The form is that of an abstracted human body, with different fungi attached to the outside so as to catch the glaze in interesting ways.

The finalized piece was featured in the University of Denver’s Anderson Academic Commons for a period of 4 months.
